Groundhog Day
Would you like to have a workday with that left you energized and happier, all while getting more done in the same amount of time?
“Groundhog Day” is a course for those of you who want to positively impact your stress and frustration at work and have some effective tools at hand to use in your company. The course is based on experiential learning and cognitive theory and takes its name from the 1993 movie starring Bill Murray. In that film, his character wakes up to the very same day, over and over again, until he “experiences” something out of the ordinary and then makes subtle but effective changes in his behavior with the result that he finally wakes up to a new day! This course is designed for you to have these “experiences” and to master changing your behavior by changing your thoughts.
The participants- anyone working on building better relationships- which includes pretty much everyone who is working!
You can be a boss, a supervisor, a colleague, a consultant or working in some other capacity. It doesn’t matter whether you have a college degree, come from the school of hard knocks or are completely new to the job market. The level of training here is high but on a platform where all can participate, keep up and reap the benefits.?
The goal- new methods and new-found happiness in your job.
The goal of this course is to provide the participants with new tools for effectively and happily navigating through their workday. To breakthrough the barriers where participants have previously found themselves stuck. To increase happiness on the job and eliminate frustration and/or stress.
The content- empowering perspectives- We will work with the following themes in this course:
• People act according to the future they see for themselves
• To continue to be someone who learns
• To learn to observe the thoughts that cause your actions
• To learn to ask questions
• To empower communication through listening
?We work with “distinctions” which is a way to distinguish something in particular about yourself, your job, your family, your colleagues- something hidden from your view, like a “blindspot”. During the course we will work with you on areas where you are presently stuck or which make you want to pull your hair out, so that you can try the tools on actual problems.
The course- an investigative inquiry (conversation)
The course is built on cognitive intervention, self-development and experiential learning. Coaching of the individual both during and between modules is included. The course is an inquiry which takes its cues from you as well as your position in your company. During the course you will learn to implement the tools in your daily work areas and assignments.
